Okay on Saturday I, Lisa Marie Tsosie ran 10 miles. Me, the person who would rather bike or walk to any distant, decided, of my own desire to RUN 10 miles. I have to admit it was not easy at all. But the one thing that kept me going was that I could make it if I just keep putting one foot in front of the other. As my mind was being jolted about with my current audio book blaring in my ears of unknown relatives, secret meeting and insane asylums. Just one foot and then the other was all my body had to worry about.
After the running I took an ice bath and felt better. Before I started the whole running goal when Tia was running, she would tell me that an ice bath after a good run felt amazing and soothing. I use to think that that was crazy but now being a runner and soon a marathoner I understand.
Through my training I also now have more respect for runners. They do it to say " I can and I do". We run in the rain, heat, cold, night, day, into the wind and at times in the dust and dirt. We run where there is wild life and near the crazy drivers, along the walkers and the bikers. "We can and We do, We run."
